I fully support the open exchange of ideas on this blog. This means dissenting views are welcome, along with those offering great adulation for my words. 
Spirited and lively debate is welcome. However, I do not support nor condone personally abusive comments. It is impossible for me to keep up with every comment that is posted as I do not wish to moderate comments before posting. If I’m around and see an objectionable comment posted it will be deleted, but I do spend a good part of the day without checking the blog or the comments. Therefore, my comment policy operates on an honor system of sorts.
