Romney Endorsements Continue

And they keep on coming…courtesy of Instapundit:

MITTMENTUM: Four Years After Endorsing Obama, The New York Daily News Endorses Romney. “Four years ago, the Daily News endorsed Obama, seeing a historic figure whose intelligence, political skills and empathy with common folk positioned him to build on the small practical experience he would bring to the world’s toughest job. We valued Obama’s pledge to govern with bold pragmatism and bipartisanship. The hopes of those days went unfulfilled. . . . The regrettable truth is that Obama built a record of miscalculations and missed opportunities.”

Well, I saw this coming.

UPDATE: Also Newsday. “Had Barack Obama done the job of president with the same passion and vision he displayed in seeking it, he would likely deserve another term. He did not. . . . Romney’s potential to put America back to work earns him our endorsement.”

ANOTHER UPDATE: Another Romney endorsement from the Madison Wisconsin State Journal.

The Palm Beach Post, the only major South Florida daily left to endorse a presidential candidate, “voted present“. Considering how liberal that paper is, it’s essentially a Romney endorsement.

UPDATE on yard sign count: Romney 56, Obama 32. More Obama signs in the past week but still heavy on the Romney side.

  1. Seriously? You cruised around your neighborhood with a notepad and counted 88 signs? I’m not cure whether to acknowledge your persistence or marvel at the abundance of time you apparently have in your life.

  2. Why do you think I used a notepad, Rick? I happen to have a good memory. Thanks for your marveling of me…although it might be slightly misdirected. I mean, I don’t blog anywhere near as much as others (hint, hint).

  3. Signs don’t vote! And you’re seeing more Romney signs because the Obama campaign doesn’t give them out for free or drive around the neighborhood planting them at houses of known Republicans. In Pinecrest, there are more Romney signs but Obama signs are almost neck and neck now. However, signs don’t vote!

    • Obviously signs don’t vote, Ethan. But those that own them sure do. BTW, I paid for my sign and it’s a stretch, to say the least, to insinuate that (cue sarcastic evil music) the Romney campaign gives them away and plants them at the homes of unsuspecting, (cue angelic melodies) good-hearted Obama supporters. I wouldn’t assume that of Obama supporters and neither should you of Romney supporters. Disregard the strong Romney/Ryan enthusiasm at your own peril and shock.

  4. “Disregard the strong Romney/Ryan enthusiasm at your own peril and shock.”

I don’t think anyone is overly confidant, Robert, except for a few of your fellow bloggers at Babalu. And you, apparently, with the above comment.

Should be a breathtakingly exciting night. I have a feeling it won’t be resolved tomorrow night, for a variety of reasons, but we’ll see.

    • My most recent post clearly indicates that this election is up for grabs. Ignoring the greater enthusiasm for Romney is highly risky at this point…which was my point.

Other than that, agree that it may not be over tomorrow night, or the night after.
