Back in March, the nationwide HHS mandate protests drew little media attention. Today’s protests, however, drew a decent amount of local coverage from outlets such as the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, an advance from NBC Miami and from across the Alley courtesy of WINK-TV and Naples News.
Perhaps the increased media attention can be attributed to the continued emphasis by Catholics nationwide on this issue. Perhaps it’s just election-year drama. Regardless, I’m glad these protests are getting some of the attention they deserve.
